Are you interested in the European Union and in EU policy-making?
Do you want to create policy proposals that are sent to the European Commission, meet experts and expand your network? You are a student aged between 18 and 30 years?

SFM is an annual international conference, which gives its participants the opportunity to engage in hands-on policy-making at EU level. This year SFM participants will be discussing, creating and evaluating policy solutions to important issues in the EU.
Guidance: Besides working in a team of motivated students from across Europe, you will be able to receive assistance and advise by policy experts! In addition, you will be guided by tutors from Maastricht University and our wonderful team members!
Format of the conference: The SFM team decided to host SFM 2021 entirely online. This means that participants will join the conference via Zoom.
Aim: Giving students the opportunity to invent policy recommendations/solutions to issues of crucial importance to the EU.

A Unified Family: The Western Balkans towards EU membership.
A Union of equality: Social integration of migrant women in the EU.
Ensuring transparency, responsibility and accountability of large digital platforms in our society.
The ramifications of agriculture and animal husbandry on climate change.
